I have decided that New Years resolutions for any new year are doomed from the start. I despise them. As we all know most people don't get them accomplished anyway, and that tells me that the 'system' is broken, so to speak! LOL It is like saying "THIS year I am going to eat an elephant!"...then you are stuck trying to fit the large beastie in your mouth for about 11 months or so! ;)
So I have decided to have Monday Resolutions every week instead. Maybe then I can get some things accomplished, and you know how when you actually GET something done it FEELS sooooo wonderful! Yeah, I am after that feeling of accomplishment! :D I think so often as a Stay at Home Mom I do the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over...etc. that I lose that 'I accomplished that!' feeling...cuz I have to do the same thing about 10 minutes later!
I am going to make my goals attainable and break 'em down into stuff I can GET DONE, rather than those big amorphous 'Keep the house clean' or 'get in shape' or 'lose weight' or 'clean the garage' (TRUST me if you could see our garage you would understand that it is a HERD of elephants!!!) or even 'be more patient' perhaps if I keep those BIG goals in mind when making my weekly goals it will be easier to stay on track! :D ya think? I think if I sit down every Sunday and figure out what I want to get done for the week it will work....I hope. (Plus I am going to wait until I get stuff done in the morning before I get on evil/fun/time-sucking facebook) I am a list maker...BIG TIME! There is just something soooooo satisifying about crossing something off of a list! Perhaps it is rather OCD, but I have been known to write something on my list...just so I could immediately check it off! LOL
Monday Resolutions are my plan...thank goodness it is Wednesday, which means I have 5 more days till I gotta start! heh heh heh
(did I mention that NOT procrastinating is another goal I juuuuust might have a problem with?!)
;)

I might join you in that....maybe. ;-)
I LOVE your plan! Maybe I'll join you too!
Monday Resolutions sounds like a good idea. Or you can just do what I do: Nothing. Why bother making resolutions you never keep? It is easier just to forget the whole thing.
This sounds like a great idea. Josh and I sit down every Sunday to pan out schedules for the week and I start my weekly to do list, then I have a daily to do list and I pull a couple of things off my weekly list to get done every day. Yep, I'm that OCD. And my confession: I have actually written something I've already done that day on my to do list, just so I have something to cross off on it. Some days you have to feel like you did something! :)
