Cloudy With a Chance of Noodles...

Sometimes the Mama just needs a break.

Maybe five minutes...just a tiny break. When your job is 24/7, with no coffee breaks or sick days, when you only can put on your makeup in the car cuz all the kids are strapped in...sometimes all a Mama needs is to go to the bathroom without an audience! ;)

Unfortunately sometimes when we Mama's take a break there are often consequences...dire consequences! And sometimes when we DON'T get a break our brains cease working...
(That happens to me ALL THE TIME)

Explanation time:

You see Elizabeth is 20 months old...so she has the table manners of a German Shepard, no wait I take that back...a German Shepard PUPPY. When she eats she MUST be supervised. 'To keep her from choking' I hear you thinking...oh no...no choking for Izzy, that girl could swallow an entire pizza whole without choking. But when she is done eating she decides that it is time to distribute... *sigh* She takes whatever she is eating and doesn't simply drop it on the CARPETED dining room floor. (don't even GET me started on what genius thought putting carpet in a dining room was any kind of good idea! grrrr...)

She is a dropper, a thrower, a flinger extraordinaire!!! She FLINGS it as far as it will go, sure some food items may land right around the high chair...but I have OFTEN found food three steps up the stairs...about 7 feet from her highchair. ugh.

So tonight I put Izzy in her highchair and then gave her a Spaghetti "Kids Cuisine" (there is your first hint at how I tired I was, I save the Kid's Cuisine's as a LAST resort!) Cleaned up in the kitchen for a minute, then ran upstairs to put some laundry away...then got distracted. rats. Emily was watching iCarly on the TV upstairs. (That Spencer cracks me up! *snicker*) I sat down and cuddled with my Em for about 10 minutes while laughing at iCarly together.

Then I remembered Izzy...

oh no...

I ran downstairs and this is what I found:

...yes...that is sauce in her armpit. *deep sigh*

HOW in the WORLD did she manage to get noodles and corn up on the stairs (out of the Lft frame of this pic) AND the plastic tray AROUND THE CORNER AND DOWN THE HALL????? HUH? I believe that she possesses magical abilities...either that or she is possessed.

Yet she is all innocence. I can WATCH her pour out a cup onto the floor then make the "OH NO" sound, and jabber wildly while gesticulating at the mess. I swear that girl is going to send me to the funny farm.

Here she is showing me where her eye is...or maybe she is showing me she DIDN'T get any sauce on her eye. Who knows!!! Geez...look at how ORANGE she is! LOL, you can sortof see where the tray kept parts of her clean...like a 'sauce line' hee hee hee.

Now I know that many of you have either been through this or seen the funny pics of the 'spaghetti covered baby'...they are certainly cute, there is no doubt about that!!! :D

Unfortunately THIS particular baby HATES the bath...and I mean HATES IT! She cries and shakes the ENTIRE time she is in the water. She will NOT sit down in it, unless I have one of the other girls in there holding her like a human-bathseat, and even then she cries. So standing in the tub, shaking like I am putting her in a tub full of big hairy spiders, I scrubbed the amazing goo off of this most amazingly messy girl! ;)
Now it is FAR too late...I should be in bed...but it is quiet here! ;)
Tootles!
