Bass Pro Shop Family Trip

While we do live in the desert

we are not really a desert-lovin' type family!

We looooove the outdoors...

the green kind.

The kind full of lakes, trees, mountains,

grass, fish, animals...etc.

So going to visit Bass Pro Shops for a fun

little family afternoon trip was kinda

like going to a museum for the kind

of place we want to LIVE someday!

(without all the stuffed animals)

Sam LOVES bridges, so being able to dink

around on this one and look out on the HUGE

water feature he was so happy!!!

Amanda wanted a pic with this

armadillo bench...

I have no idea why!

So of course Emily wanted one on

this fox bench.

Silly girls.

THIS would be the main reason and

the real surprise for the kids.

In the Casino connected to the

store there is a huge salt-water tank.

Full of coral, schools of fish, rays...

Amanda LOVES science.

She loves the Ocean, she was

entranced! :D

They ALL loved watching the tank!

Here she is the big surprise...

a MERMAID! :)

She put her hand on the glass to 'touch' hands

with each of the girls...

but when she did it to Sam,

He yelped, laughed and ran away!

Miss Mermaid laughed too!

Eventually she made like claw hands at him

to pretend scare him...

he LOVED IT!!!

He is all into being 'scared'

Crazy kiddo!!!

All the people around were laughing too.

There aren't many pics of Izzy, she was kinda

hard to corral in such a huge store...I am just

happy that we came home with the same

number of kids we left with! :)

The kids had SUCH a blast,

it was just about a perfect afternoon!
