Christmas Prep.

I was actually on the ball for getting out the Christmas decorations this year.  Weird, I know.  When I got out our tiny little Christmas tree (12/5/10) and plugged it in I could hear the Grinch say:  "There's a light on this tree that won't light on one side..."  Except it wasn't just one light...the bottom 1/3 of the tree was dark....rats.  So after an HOUR of dinking around with the tree and replacing FAR too many bulbs my fingers were killing me but it was FIXED!  :)  Luckily I didn't have to do much more work, the kids did about 99% of putting ornaments on the tree! ;)

Even Izzy helped...no really,
she helped and didn't destroy anything.
I know, I hardly believed it too!

The tree looks WAY better in this pic when the lights are out
so you don't notice the dusty Christmas storage
tote that it is sitting on! LOL

12/12/10
Our Gingerbread house.
This years model was way cute, I love the
Santa sleigh and reindeer out front!
(No, I didn't bake it *snort* are you kidding?)
It may have been dang messy but SO FUN!
We also dig through the 'candy bowl' for stuff we don't
want anymore and use it all up.
Izzy helped a lot...she helped to eat the candy
before we could put it on the house.
But she would NOT get in this picture, she NEVER
wants to be in a picture...I wonder if she thinks it will
steal her soul, or maybe she is afraid her little
devil horns will show up in the pic! ;D

Cute huh?
I have some mad icicle skills huh?

Amanda and Izzy laughing and being silly after the
house was all done.  I love watching the sisters play nice...
it is SO MUCH NICER than hearing them fight! LOL

Well, Hi! I am BEYOND impressed with your gingerbread house. Kit or no, that is one fine looking piece of work there. My kiddos wouldn't know what to do if I had icicle skills like those. No, really. They all decorate their own cakes because I have negative frosting skills (I like to make them think it's just me being a really cool, nice mom though--yep, that's right, i'm more than just a pretty face).
