Splishy Splashy Splash Pad

One day Josh and I decided to take the kids over to one of the many Splash Pad Parks here.  It was HOT so the water kept them cool, we were hungry afterwards and so we ate a little picnic lunch I packed up.  :)
Good times!

Amanda and Emily jump RIGHT in,

Sam took a few minutes to get wet
but soon he was right in there with them.

Amanda havin' FUN

I didn't even THINK to put Izzy in a swimsuit,
honestly I am still trying to figure out how I forgot about that!?
At home she HATES baths, but she does love getting
sprayed with the hose in the backyard.
Weird.
At least she only had this little dress on, so it was just
find to get wet in!
She loves to put her fingers in the spray,
she does it with the sprinklers in the backyard
every time she gets the opportunity!

She would play with the spray
then RUUUUUUUUUUN back to me!
So cute!

These fountains of water shoot out at different
intensities, heights, and timing...
it took awhile for Izzy to want to approach them

And when she did she got sprayed in the face!
HA HA HA!

So she went back to the reliable always
spraying water over here!

I {heart} this pic.

Oh, and every time she would run back to me
she would hug my leg...I was soaked all the
way through my clothes! :D

Daddy hanging out with Izzy

Amanda and Emily trying to guess which places the
water would shoot out next...

Basically Emily ran around in circles like 80% of the time!
Silly girl!

Eventually Sam said he was cold.
So OBVIOUSLY we have been living in the desert for TOO long!

It was a fun little trip and we are going to do it again
before the splash pads are shut off for the 'winter'.

That looks like an awesome splash pad! Where is that one at?

Your comment on my post about the Bree Tanner book - you've swayed my opinion. GOOD JOB! I didn't know that information about her giving proceeds to the Red Cross and that is cool. I still think it wasn't necessary to publish it into a book, but ah well. I did know that it was on her blog free for some time, but the procrastinator I am, I never got to read it while it was up. So props to you, Megan! You got rid of that sour taste I had about Stephenie. Thanks for that!

We STILL need to get together! How is it possible that we are this bad at getting together?!
